〈展覧会情報〉
monade contemporary | 単子現代では、田村久留美プレゼンツによる個展「ゆく年くる年☆DAY OF EVERY YEAR」を開催します（共催：ことばを食べるカフェみずうみ）。

田村はこれまで、路上など公共空間でゲリラ的なパフォーマンスを行うことで、人やもの、場所とのかかわりのなかで起こる出来事に他者を巻き込みながら表現活動を行ってきました。その時々の問題に対して真剣に向き合い、応じるなかで、優しくて愉快な革命にゆるやかに巻き込まれてくださいとロマンスを期待しながら呼びかけます。

本展では、年末から年始にかけた年越しイベント、および個展として、田村が全国各地から招聘したアーティスト、キュレーター、アートマネジャー、表現者、活動家、学生、放浪者らによるイベントを実施するとともに、自身がこれまで発表してきたビデオ作品群を展示します。

アーティストによるパフォーマンスや発表前の作品をめぐる講評会をはじめ、常時進行するボードゲームのコンテクストを背景として、日替わりスナックでのおしゃべりや飲食の提供、瞑想とダンス、24時間耐久DJ、まち歩き、年賀状の募集・展示、初詣などが繰り広げられます。アートシステムの多様なアクターと表現形式が展覧会場に配置されるなかで、各種イベントと展示作品は個人の身体をとおして展開される芸術祭のような様相をとります。

オルタナティブを志向する人々が一つの空間に集うとき、表現や交換の様式はどのように変容し、共有されることになるのでしょうか。まだ見ぬ世界への憧れをもって展開される、ささやかながらもにぎやかな革命にご参加ください。


田村久留美
2000年の早生まれ。香川県出身。秋田公立美術大学アーツ&ルーツ専攻を卒業後、京都市立芸術大学大学院彫刻専攻を修了。主に路上・公共空間でゲリラ的にパフォーマンスを行う。人やモノ、場所なんかの総合的な関わりの中で起こるロマンスを期待している。あたしのために優しくて愉快な革命にゆるやかに巻き込まれてください。など、と。その時々の問題に対して真剣に回答をしています。油を売っています。定期的に「バンドやろうぜ！」をやっています。

‘Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best for the coming year!’ Every year, whether we ask for it or not, this day, this hour, this very moment arrives without fail. I am forced to recognize that I am caught inside a calendar far larger than myself, and all I want is to run away — a small, almost adorable act of escape. For those who have come home, those who do not want to return, and those who cannot return. Whether you like it or not, you are anticipating a touch of romance. Now, let us raise the greatest counter of this century!

〈Exhibition Information〉
monade contemporary | 単子現代 is pleased to present the solo exhibition Yuku-Toshi Kuru-Toshi☆DAY OF EVERY YEAR presented by Kurumi Tamura (Co-organized with Café Mizuumi).

Kurumi Tamura has long developed her practice through guerrilla-style performances in public spaces such as streets and plazas, drawing others into the events that take shape through encounters with people, objects, and places. By engaging earnestly with the issues that emerge in each moment, she calls on others — with an expectation of a gentle yet delightful revolution tinged with romance — to be drawn in alongside her.

This exhibition, conceived as both a New Year’s Eve/New Year’s celebration and a solo presentation, invites a wide range of participants whom Tamura has gathered from across Japan: artists, curators, arts managers, performers, activists, students, and wanderers. Alongside these events, a selection of Tamura’s past video works will be on view.

Anchored by a continuously unfolding board-game context, the program includes artist performances, critique sessions surrounding works in progress, daily snack-bar style gatherings with conversation and food, meditation and dance, a 24-hour endurance DJ set, neighborhood walks, a call for New Year’s postcards and their display, visits to the shrine for the first prayer of the year, and more. With various actors and forms of expression from the art system situated together in the exhibition space, the events and works collectively take on the atmosphere of an art festival unfolding through individual bodies.

When people who share an orientation toward the alternative gather in a space, how might the modes of expression and exchange transform and be shared? We invite you to take part in this modest yet spirited revolution, driven by a longing for worlds to come.

Kurumi Tamura
Born in early 2000. From Kagawa Prefecture. After graduating from the Arts & Roots program at Akita University of Art, Tamura completed an MFA in Sculpture at Kyoto City University of Arts. She primarily engages in guerrilla-style performances in streets and other public spaces. Through the complex interplay of people, objects, and places, she looks forward to the romances that may emerge. ‘Please allow yourself to be gently and joyfully drawn into a revolution—for my sake,’ she says, among other things. At each moment, she responds earnestly to the issues at hand. She spends time idling. She regularly initiates the project ‘Let’s Start a Band!’
