日本刺繍作家・草乃しずかは、日本刺繍に魅せられて以来、半世紀にわたりその表現の可能性を探求してきました。「日本刺繍は心模様を表現するアート」という信念のもと、伝統に根ざしつつ現代の感性を取り入れ、独自の刺繍世界を築いています。
本展では、源氏物語に登場する女性たちに想いを馳せ、そのイメージから生まれた振袖や几帳を中心に、平和への祈りを込めたタペストリー、さらに洋装や小物へと広がる刺繍作品を紹介します。約200点に及ぶ作品を通して、草乃しずかが紡ぎ続けてきた日本刺繍の豊かな表現世界をご堪能いただきます。

Shizuka Kusano is a Japanese embroidery artist who has spent over 50 years exploring the possibilities of her craft. Guided by her belief that "Japanese embroidery is an art form that expresses the heart," she creates a unique world that blends traditional techniques with modern sensibilities.
This exhibition features approximately 200 works, including Kimonos inspired by the women of The Tale of Genji, the "Life" series filled with hope for the future, and delicate wedding veils. Please enjoy the rich world of expression spun with silk thread and soul.
