このたび、hakari contemporary では、敷根功士朗による個展「宙ぶら輪廻」を開催いたします。
敷根は、映像、彫刻、パフォーマンスなど複数のメディアを横断しながら、出来事や身体の経験を再構成し、知覚のあり方を問い直す表現を展開してきました。断片化された出来事や、結果だけが切り取られた状況、起こりそうで起こらない時間が交錯する空間は、私たちが無意識に前提としている認識や価値観を静かに揺さぶります。
本展「宙ぶら輪廻」は、インディペンデント・キュレーターの戸塚愛美を迎え、現代アートを中心に扱うKanda &　Oliveira（千葉県船橋市）で開催された同名展を基点に、新たにパフォーマンスなどの要素を加え、hakari　contemporary の空間にあわせて再構成するものです。
本展では、敷根の実践を通して、時間や身体、知覚をめぐる問いを、空間と時間のあいだに生じる状態として提示します。

Hakari Contemporary is pleased to present “Suspended Samsara,” a solo exhibition by Koshiro Shikine.

Working across multiple media, including video, sculpture, and performance, Shikine has developed a practice that reconstructs events and bodily experiences in order to reconsider the nature of perception. In these works, where fragmented events, situations reduced to their outcomes, and moments that seem about to happen yet never quite occur intersect, quietly unsettle the assumptions and values that unconsciously shape the way we perceive the world.

This exhibition, “Suspended Samsara,” is based on the exhibition of the same title held at Kanda & Oliveira in Funabashi, Chiba, a gallery focusing on contemporary art, with independent curator Manami Totsuka.

Reconfigured for the space of Hakari Contemporary, the exhibition introduces new elements, including performance.

Through Shikine’ s practice, this exhibition presents questions surrounding time, the body, and perception as states that emerge between space and time.
