青野昭子 個展
花と水玉―Flowers and Polka Dots

青野昭子は、写真を起点に、物質・光・色彩・空間の関係性を変換しながら、見慣れた世界の内部に潜む「別の現実」の気配を探求しています。本展「花と水玉 ― Flowers and Polka Dots」では、風景や身近なイメージを撮影し、その写真を変換・増殖・拡張することで、現実の奥に潜む新たな知覚の可能性を可視化します。

青野の関心は、世界そのものではなく、私たちが世界をどのように認識しているのかという知覚のあり方にあります。花や水玉、反復するイメージや色彩の重なりは、単なるモチーフではなく、見るという行為そのものを揺さぶる装置として立ち現れます。見慣れた風景が別の姿へと変容するとき、そこには、普段は見過ごしている世界のもう一つの可能性が現れてきます。作品を通して固定された認識を揺さぶり、世界を別の角度から見つめ直すための場を提示します。

Akiko Aono Solo Exhibition
Flowers and Polka Dots

Starting with photography, Akiko Aono explores the presence of an “alternate reality” lurking within the familiar world by transforming the relationships between matter, light, color, and space. In this exhibition, Flowers and Polka Dots, she photographs landscapes and everyday imagery; by transforming, multiplying, and expanding these photographs, she visualizes new possibilities of perception hidden beneath the surface of reality. Aono’s interest lies not in the world itself, but in the nature of perception—specifically, how we perceive the world.

Flowers, polka dots, repeating images, and overlapping colors emerge not merely as motifs, but as devices that unsettle the very act of seeing. As a familiar landscape transforms into something else, another possibility of the world—one usually overlooked—reveals itself. Through her work, this exhibition seeks to shake up fixed perceptions and offer a space to re-examine the world from a different perspective.

Akiko Aono
Completed the Architectural Design program within the Environmental Design field at the Graduate School of Kyoto University of the Arts. Currently enrolled in the Photography course, Department of Fine Arts, Kyoto University of the Arts. Aono explores the presence of an “alternate reality” lurking within the familiar world by transforming the relationships between matter, light, color, and space.
