YOKOTA TOKYO では、「printed matters 中西夏之 - 出版物にかかわる仕事」展を開催します。
中西は、本の装丁や出版物にかかわる仕事を、多くの人とともに重ねてきました。
本そのもの だけでなく、その周辺に残されたものからも、作家が言葉や本、そして人と丁寧に向き合って きたことが伝わります。

著作集『連れ舞 着陸と着水、又は湖面の刺戟』の刊行に合わせ、
これまでに手がけた出版物 とその周辺の仕事を紹介します。

重ねられた試行錯誤と、人とのつながりによる協働をご覧いただけましたら幸いです。

YOKOTA TOKYO is pleased to present
“Printed Matters: Nakanishi Natsuyuki - Works in and around Publications.”

Throughout his career, Nakanishi collaborated with many others on book design and publication-related work.
Not only the books themselves, but also the materials and traces left around them convey the care with which the artist engaged with words, books, and the people around him.

In conjunction with a second volume of his collected writings, Tsuremai: Touching Down on Land and Touching Down on Water, or Stimulating the Lake Surface, this exhibition presents the publications he has worked on over the years, together with related materials related to their making.

We hope visitors will find here the many layers of experimentation and refinements that informed these works, as well as the collaborations that emerged through relationships with others.
